Hicstep's debut EP - ESCAPE FROM PRISON ISLAND was recorded during a hot Berlin Summer in a small apartment in Kreuzberg and offers a mix of delay drenched instrumentals and razor sharp vocal tracks.

Taking their cues from politically driven Thatcher era English acts like The Jam, Gang of Four, Madness, Billy Bragg and The Specials, the sound of Hicstep is impulsive, angular and refined.
